Some causes are worth wearing. Canada’s largest student-led multi-school fundraiser is making it possible this fundraising season. For 2026, the Ben Stelter School Fundraiser (BSSF) is bringing its mission to everyday life as it launches their first-ever merchandise store at bssfmerch.ca.
The digital storefront is giving the fundraiser’s supporters another way to represent the cause they believe in through a polished selection of quality graphic shirts, hoodies, caps, mugs, school-supplies, and more, allowing customers to browse collections and place orders online.
And supporting the cause to fund free Proton Therapy for Canadians shouldn’t have a high price tag itself. For the daily supporter, the store will be fully vendor priced as products are sold with the minimum price set by the supplier without any retail markup.
This is making representing the fundraiser more accessible for students, families, and supporters who want to be connected to the mission. But shoppers are always welcome to support the mission to build the Ben Stelter Centre for Proton Therapy & Neurosciences, the first of its kind in Canada, through an optional donation with their purchase.
And the student leaders that make the fundraiser possible aren’ t being priced. Every one of them is given tons of exciting free merchandise as they continue to lead their schools to raising money for the goal.
Supporters of this student initiative are also getting a chance to get some amazing offers, which will be revealed soon to celebrate the site’s launch.
Nathan Stinner, the Director of Brand at the BSSF who pushed for this idea, made it clear on what this expansion meant about the organization’s current and future.
“It just serves as proof of how big and influential the BSSF has become. We can now get merchandise to all of Canada, and the potential for growth is massive. This is also a great example of how we’ve been scaling up over the past few years by going from our Co-Director Aariz driving merch around, to this system!”
For the student-led fundraiser though, this idea took a lot more than time. Stinner explained the problems behind the scenes: the 2025 fundraiser’s merchandise for student leaders alone took hours of driving from the team to deliver pieces in person.
But those hours on the road won’t be happening again with the new system built from the ground up. With on-demand Shopify and Tapstitch systems integrated behind a custom interface, whatever you order will just show up on your doorstep or at your school.
And the student-made website even allows for some exciting advanced features such as discount codes for student leaders and possibly general buyers, which was something that just couldn’t have been done previously.
This store is about more than just convenience by taking a step for the BSSF’s community of supporters to be more connected while keeping it accessible with great craft.
When people scroll through the selection of hoodies, shirts, blankets, and more, their merchandise site is giving supporters all over Canada a way to represent the mission, helping bring Proton Therapy to Canada, in their own unique way.
