Move over, participation ribbons; the Ben Stelter School Fundraiser can win your school and students prizes and experiences beyond the usual while they make tangible change towards a commendable cause.
The 2026 lineup for BSSF prizes on a school, student, and online donor level are out, and you best believe there’s more to come in the months ahead.
As the fundraiser progresses, additional award categories are to be announced, and recipients will receive personalized plaques and medals.
School Prizes
- The McDavid Prize
You know it, and you love it; the McDavid Prize is easily the highlight of the BSSF prize selection. Every school earns one ballot for the McDavid Prize draw for every $1000 raised, and elementary, junior high, and high schools will enter a grade-level draw before the winners progress to a final draw.
If you win, expect a special visit from McDavid and signed Connor McDavid jerseys for the two student leaders! Student Leaders will have the opportunity to ask him questions and take photos.
The two other schools in the final round receive a schoolwide lunch from Popeyes or Firehouse Subs.
- Boston Pizza Pizza Party
Get your donations high if you want to win a school-wide pizza party from Boston Pizza! This delicious prize is for the school that raises the most money at the end of the fundraiser.
- 100 Schools Prize
Signing up quickly gives schools perks, as the first 100 schools to sign up receive signed Edmonton Oilers merchandise! Additionally, one lucky school out of the 100 will receive a signed McDavid jersey.
Student Prizes
- Driven to Lead Award
This award is for two student leaders from the same school who demonstrate unwavering leadership, commitment, capability, and teamwork. The recipients of this award receive VIP Edmonton Elks Suite Tickets
- Best Marketing Prize
The Best Marketing Prize is for the school with the most creative and memorable marketing campaign, which will win the student leaders exclusive gift cards.

These are given at the end of the fundraiser to students participating for special recognition prizes, which will be announced by the BSSF team shortly!
Online Donor Prize
- Signed Stick Prize
Individuals who donate online more than $25 will have a chance to win a hockey stick signed by the entire Edmonton Oilers team.
Beyond the novelty and thrill, prizes ensure that schools stay motivated and student dedication is recognized.
Alex Sokolovski, Director of Marketing and former student leader for McKernan, the school that fundraised the most money in the 2025 season, shared his experience with the enthusiasm the prizes brought.
“While I was a student leader, when we would mention McDavid or even the Boston Pizza full school pizza party, everyone in the gym would erupt with joy.”
Rehaan Chaglani, the BSSF’s Promotions Coordinator and a recipient of the Driven to Lead Award shared a similar experience.
“When my fellow student leader and myself won the award we felt extremely grateful. This is because that award helped us show how much work we put into the entire BSSF community, and even the broader Edmonton and surrounding area.”
